About the Course
BTEC Applied Law provides a practical and engaging introduction to the legal system, focusing on how laws are created, interpreted, and applied in everyday life. You will explore a range of fascinating topics, including Dispute Solving in Civil Law, Investigating Aspects of Criminal Law, Applying the Criminal Law and Aspects of Tort Law. Assessment is through two pieces of coursework and two controlled assessments, allowing you to demonstrate your understanding through applied tasks and case studies rather than final exams. As part of your studies, you will also take part in a trip to the local courts, giving you the chance to observe live cases and see legal professionals at work — an invaluable insight into how the justice system operates. The BTEC in Applied Law is an excellent choice for students who prefer continuous assessment and practical learning.
Future Prospects
You will develop valuable skills in research, problem-solving, analysis, and communication which are all invaluable for your future study and/or career.
