About the Course

You will investigate how laws are made and applied, who administers them and what happens when laws are broken. Throughout the course, you will study:The English Legal System, Law Making, Criminal Law, the Law of Tort, Human Rights and the Nature of Law. The course is taught using a variety of methods and resources which provide a framework for learning, independent study and research. All three units are assessed by written examination at the end of Year 2. You will get the opportunity to see law in action through court visits and talks from personnel involved in the law.

Future Prospects

You will develop skills in critical thinking, logical reasoning, and constructing clear, persuasive arguments. A Level Law complements subjects such as Politics, Sociology, Psychology, History, Business and English, and is an excellent foundation for university study or careers in law, criminology, business or public service.
