Out of 11 students who took this independent research-based qualification 4 achieved A grades and 7 were awarded A*s.
The Extended Project Qualification [EPQ] gives students the chance to carry out research into subjects which aren't part of the curriculum. This year students investigated topics as varied as the representation of women in C19th fiction and the use of AI in global financial markets.
This was the first year of our successful partnership with the University of Southampton, with university lecturers coming into college to lead workshops on referencing, research and presentation skills.
Students in Year 12 can still sign up for this year's EPQ; please contact Mr. Shears on p.shears@cncs.co.uk
